Jay Park Live in Manila

I remember the time when I hang out with my Korean friends, I always ask them to tell me something about their place, culture or anything that connects with Korea. I love Korea, I love their food, I love Koreans especially my Korean friends. And then I realized that I only know a little about their music. I thought that maybe because I'm having a hard time to understand it or to memorize it but heck no! it's not an excuse not to listen to their music. I love music and I told my self why not try to know more about their music.

Good thing, OrangeMagTV and MCA Music gave me an opportunity to cover the Jay Park Live in Manila Presscon in Eastwood Richmonde Hotel.

Jay Park promotes his latest and first full length album "New Breed" by having a 3day show in Manila (Eastwood, Venice Piazza, Lucky Chinatown Mall).

Someone from the media asked him if he will choose one between singing, dancing and modeling, what would it be. He laughed when he heard the word "modeling" because he knows that he does not fit into a modeling world and he immediately answered that it would be dancing. He was also asked that in all of his songs in his new album, what song he would dedicate to all the Filipino girls, he said that the song would be "Girlfriend" because he knows that there are lot of beautiful Filipinas and he thinks that it's a perfect song for us. I know a lot of his Filipina fans will be super "kilig" if they were at the presscon. :)

Meet and Greet at RedBox, Eastwood.

I really adore guys with tattoos and I'm glad Jay Park have a lots of tattoos :)

I had fun watching his shows and I admit I become an instant fan of Jay Park. I admire him because he sings and dance well and he stays humble and showed us how he love his fans. After I heard him singing, I must say that I like their music and I am looking forward to hear his future songs.

Thank you also to OrangeMagTv for the opportunity to meet Jay Park :)

NORAH JONES: Little Broken Hearts

PolyEast Records invite us last Monday to listen to Norah Jones' new album "Little Broken Hearts" (Blue Note/EMI) produced by Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton). The 12-track album features the gently rolling first single "Happy Pills."

I'm glad to be part of the advanced listening party because I am also a fan of Norah Jones. Her voice is so relaxing and what's good with her new album is that it is a lot different from her previous albums. The album is dark, moody and full of wounded emotions which makes not only me but a lot of people relate to all of her songs.

I really love her album cover! Jones drew the inspiration for the album cover from the vintage movie posters that adorn Burton's Los Angeles studio. "Brian has this great collection of Russ Meyer posters in his studio," explains Jones, "and this particular one, called Mudhoney, was right over the couch where I sat every day. I  always was looking at it and thinking 'that's  so cool I want to look like her!' I remember staring at the poster the whole time we made the record. It's a great visual."

Little Broken Hearts Tracklist:
  1. Good Morning
  2. Say Goodbye
  3. Little Broken Hearts
  4. She's 22
  5. Take It Back
  6. After The Fall
  7. 4 Broken Hearts
  8. Travelin' On
  9. Out On The Road
  10. Happy Pills
  11. Miriam
  12. All A Dream

She's so beautiful and I really dig her new look! :)

Norah Jones' new album is now available in stores nationwide released by PolyEast Records.

The Cranberries Live In Manila

I love 90's music not only because I'm a 90's kid but because the lyrics and music is really different from today's music. That's why I'm a bit disappointed when Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees) and Hanson went here in the Philippines to have a concert... I never got the chance to see them performing live. I know this is a bit funny but I always ask God that if I'll never got a chance to see them then maybe, just maybe I'll be given a chance to see The Cranberries live... and I think God answered my prayer...so...

YES! I was able to see them performing live!!!

I got two Upper Box A ticket and I decided to give it to my friend as a graduation gift. :)

Me and my friend Lhen while waiting for The Cranberries :)

I thought I'll be having a hard time to see them so I bought this foldable binocular.

Set List:
  • Dreams
  • Linger
  • Tomorrow
  • How
  • Animal Instinct
  • Just My Imagination
  • Ode to My Family
  • Put Me Down
  • Analyse
  • Desperate Andy
  • Daffodil Lament
  • When You're Gone
  • I Can't Be With You
  • Waltzing Back
  • Raining In My Heart
  • Free to Decide
  • Schizophrenic Playboys
  • Ridiculous Thoughts
  • Zombie
The audience thought that's the last song so we all screamed and beg for more... and of course The Cranberries didn't disappoint us :)

Encore:
  • Conduct
  • Losing My Mind
  • Salvation
Here are some of the videos I took during the concert:

I am so in love with their songs Linger, Ode To My Family especially Zombie. I remember when I was 3 or 4 years that time when my parents bought me a small guitar, I would sit on our TV rack and started strumming (though of course it was out of tune) and then I'll start singing Zombie. That song made me appreciate music and that's one of the reason why music is now part of my life. :)

Thank You Circuit Magazine for the opportunity!

Thank You The Cranberries especially Dolores O'Riordan and Noel Hogan for the great music. It was an eargasmic moment indeed! :)

#TheJinriExperience on a Sunday Morning :)

#TheJinriExperience. That is the hashtag DJ Jinri Park used on twitter when she asked her followers about what they will do if they were given a chance to spend a day with her. Some of them tweeted romantic, sweet, and funny ideas. I remember I told her that if I'll be given a chance to spend a day with her as her bestfriend, we will watch any disney movies while eating pizza and cheetos. Emo nights will be awesome. Well, that'll be a perfect bonding for me. But what people don't realized is that, everytime they've been greeted on air or whenever Jinri retweet or replied on their tweets are considered as #TheJinriExperience.

And last Sunday I was so lucky to spent the whole morning with her. Her show on RX93.1 starts at 4am until 8am. I started to change my body clock by sleeping early a week before I visit her, that's why I kinda hate my self for doing it. I know I was gonna feel sleepy the whole show but I was wrong... the playlist is sooo freakin cool that made me feel so awake. She graduated the day before her shift so I know it'll be awesome. And by the way, today's her birthday!!! :)

I caught myself laughing at her segment #TeachMeHowToMissUniverse :))

I'm a shy person that's why I'm having a hard time to ask her some questions that I end up somehow being quiet at the entire show.

Anyway, here's the audio during the #Korean101 : Jinri Park #Korean101 Rap Version :)

Happy Happy Birthday Dear Jinri!!! I really had fun eventhough we don't talk that much. Well, your presence is more important than anything else right? :)

Thank you for the awesome #JinriExperience ;)
