Press Interview of Lovi Poe's Movie "Aswang"

When it comes to international or local movie, I would definitely choose horror rather than chick flicks. Well maybe because in horror movies there are lots of nerve-wracking and spine-tingling scenes that makes me don't want to sleep alone. Speaking of horror movies, I was invited by Mr. Leo Dominguez to attend the press interview for Lovi Poe's next movie Aswang. By the way, I was with my good friend Espie though I invited her for like 5 or 10 minutes before I went to manila. Paulo Avelino and Joem Bascon is also present in the said event.

I got a chance to have a picture with them after they were being interviewed by the media.

Joem Bascon. Award winning actor Joem, plays a leader of the Aswang tribe in this film. His character is the antithesis of Lovi Poe's benevolent, heroic Aswang. Precious Lara Quigaman is his wife in the movie who happens to be Lovi's sister. Joem and Lara will try to convince Lovi to live the ways of an Aswang and to accept her fate. When Lovi fell in love with the mortal, played by Paulo Avelino, Joem uses all his power to break them apart.

Paulo Avelino. Paulo portrayed an assassin who ended up in a small barrio infested with Aswangs. Lovi Poe fell in love with him and vowed to save him from he fangs of the ravenous Aswangs. 

By the way, last Sunday (October 23) Paulo became the trending topic in twitter because of the Gandang Gabi Vice. It peaked as the 2nd most popular trend on twiiter in the Philippines and the 10th most popular trend worldwide.

Lovi Poe. The very beautiful and one of the sexiest women in the Philippine Cinema, Lovi Poe portrays an Aswang who fell in love with a mortal, against the wishes of the Aswang tribe. 

There is also an issue between Lovi and Mother Lily because of the addition of a sex scene in the story. She hesitated from doing it because she said it is supposed to be a romantic-horror film; scary not sexy. But after she saw the scenes, she realized the value of the scene in the context of the film. And in the end, she agreed with Mother Lily. So is Lovi and Mother Lily in good terms at the moment? "I hope so, when we see each other. I love Mother very dearly, and I would like to apologize to her. I was sorry to doubt her. I should have trusted her from the start. After all, I am the newcomer in the business."

"Aswang" also stars Paulo Avelino, Joem Bascon with Marc Abaya, Albie Casiño, Jillian Ward, Lara Quigaman, and Bembol Roco. It's opening nationwide on November 2.

Behind The Scene: It's Our First Time

Though the title of my blog is the title of the song, 

it is also what exactly happened to me that day. I was invited by a blogger friend to cover a shoot of Solenn Heussaff with Gaz Holgate. I met them already especially Solenn so I go without hesitation, plus I

really miss them :)

The venue is in Republiq in Resorts World Manila. Yes, it was my first time to see the venue that's why I am really excited that day.

Before we start to cover the shoot, we decided to have our lunch first and had a chance to interview Solenn and Gaz. Very delish food! Thank you Sir Leo :)

The venue is so perfect for the song. And the scenes are totally awesome. I can't wait to see the video. The music video wouldn't be as successful as it was without these awesome people:

The very talented director, Paul Soriano. I saw how he works during the shoot, and I was totally amazed. Hands down director Paul! :)

Solenn Heussaff. Of course without her, there will be no music video. Her beauty and voice is so perfect for the song. Can't help falling in love with her voice. :)

Gaz Holgate. The handsome member of Philippine Volcanoes. For the first timer like him, I think he act so well and very professional. :)

Everything is so new to me, the venue, it was also my first time to watch behind the scenes and my first time to see a kissing scene with a celebrity.

By the way, I just want to thank my awesome friend Ly for letting me to use her camera. Epic fail because I forgot mine, but I had so much fun. Thanks a lot!!!

Crustasia Asian Bistro at Rockwell

The best way to spend a night with your good friends is to eat in a nice restaurant with a super delicious cuisine. Luckily, we were invited to eat at Crustasia. The place is very relaxing and for everyone who loves art, they will surely love the interior designs of the restaurant.

If you love spicy foods like me, then these are the perfect food for you. My favorite food in Crustasia are the Sichuan Boiled Catfish and the All Meat Sate Sampler, very spicy yet delicious. It's a perfect food for those people who love to eat rice.

The Day I Finally Met Gaz Holgate :)

It was five in the morning when I received a direct message on twitter from Sir Leo, asking if I can go to the presscon of Gaz Holgate. I said yes without hesitation. I went to Mesa Grill Tomas Morato and I thought that I was really late because I saw a lot of media outside. I was starstrucked when I saw Gaz being interviewed.

Went inside the restaurant to formally introduced my self to Sir Leo. It was really awkward that time because I am the only blogger in the said presscon but I also feel overwhelmed with the treatment that Sir Leo gave me. He let me sit beside Gaz so we could chat.

Gareth Leslie Holgate or simply known as Gaz Holgate is a 24 year old Filipino-Welsh rugby player. He went to the Philippines to have a vacation for two weeks.

He was able to meet his childhood friend, Solenn Heussaff.

The media asked if there's any chance that he will like Solenn more than a friend, but he says that it would be better if they will just remain as friends. Gaz did not deny that he also admire the beauty of FPJ's daughter, Lovi Poe. Lovi is also his partner during the Esquire Ball. He said it was only plain admiration because he is in a relationship right now. Gaz will also be a part of Solenn's music video.

Being able to talk to Gaz for a short time is one of coolest thing happened to me. He is really a nice guy. It's true that it is impossible not to fall in love with Gaz Holgate.

I had so much fun spending the afternoon with Gaz Holgate and Solenn Heussaff. All thanks to Mr. Leo Dominguez :)
